Phalaenopsis celebensis x sib
A miniature, warm-growing epiphyte endemic to the island of Sulawesi, Indonesia. It is highly prized for its striking, non-fragrant blooms featuring white petals heavily detailed with central burnt-caramel or purple markings. Unlike standard grocery store hybrids, this species is celebrated for its spectacular, highly ornamental foliage that displays a distinct silvery-grey, purple-tinged mottling all year round. Because its pendant leaves and cascading, heavily branching flower spikes drape naturally downward, it thrives best when vertically mounted on cork bark rather than potted. Cultivation requires maintaining constant intermediate-to-hot temperatures, low-level filtered shade, high humidity, and frequent watering with exceptional drainage all year round, as standing water in an upright pot can easily trigger fatal crown rot
