To get your Dendrobium lindleyi thriving in the Aussie climate, give it plenty of bright, indirect light and keep it lush with regular watering and half-strength fertiliser while it’s actively growing through the warmer months. It handles temperatures up to 30ºC well, but the real secret to those golden flower sprays is a proper "cool and dry" winter rest. From late autumn, back off the water almost entirely and let the temps drop to around \(10-15ºC); the pseudobulbs might look a bit shrivelled, but this stress is exactly what triggers the spring blooms. It’s usually happiest mounted on a bit of cork or tree fern so the roots can dry out quickly, mimicking its natural home in the treetops.
