Beallara Tahoma Glacier 'Green' is an intergeneric hybrid orchid known for its large, white flowers with green-tinged sepals and lip, accented by mahogany and burgundy markings. It is a fragrant orchid that can bloom twice a year and is relatively easy to care for. For best results, provide bright, indirect light, moderate temperatures, high humidity, and a well-draining orchid mix.

Description

Flowers: Large (up to 6 inches) white flowers with a green tint on the sepals and lip. They are accented by mahogany and burgundy markings. Typically blooms twice a year or more, depending on maturity. Flowers might be slightly different depending on growing conditions - light, temperature and fertiliser used.

Light: Bright, indirect light is ideal. Morning light is great, avoid direct midday sun which can burn the plant. 

Temperature: Thrives in intermediate to warm conditions. A good range is 18–32°C during the day, dropping to 13–16°C at night. Most of QLD should be able to grow this plant outdoors all year round. Southern states will need to bring indoors for winter of grow in a greenhouse/grow room.

Watering: Water thoroughly when the potting medium is approaching dryness, and allow it to drain completely. The goal is to keep it evenly moist but not waterlogged. (Most Oncidiums like to dry out between watering to prevent rot)

 
Humidity: Requires high humidity, ideally between 50% and 70%. 
Substrate: Use a well-draining orchid mix, such as a bark with perlite or sphagnum moss.

 
Fertiliser: Feed with a balanced orchid fertiliser every couple of weeks during the growing season. Reduce feeding to once a month in winter.
